Clay at SNL Dress Rehearsal by way of the ClayBoard
From the RCA
Board:
Quote:
Hey all,
I've never posted here before, but I just wanted to
share that I was in the audience for the SNL dress
rehearsal earlier this evening, and thanks to a very
nice camera man (who took a shot of the audience
about halfway through the show, and then lingered on
one particular red head), I learned that I had been
sitting about 30 feet away from Mr.McDreamyAiken for
the past hour. EEEEK!
So I spent the rest of the show straining my neck
(and looking like a fool to the people around me) to
try to see as much of Clay as I could. Sooo ... for
those of you wanting to get you stalker on (like
me), here's what I got:
He was with a very cute blonde spikey haired boy.
He was wearing a baggy green sweater with a blue
button down shirt underneath and dark jeans
His hair is more red than I thought it was
He didn't seem to laugh too much (at least not as
much as the nbc news lady did who was also sitting
close to us)
Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch kept waving up to him
at the end, and it took him forever to notice ...
when he finally did notice he just gave a shy smile
and thumbs up
and, here's the kicker
When it was time to go, he just walked out of the
studio with all of us little people! No SNL staff
person ushering him quickly away ... he and his
friend just walked out with the crowd. A few people
came up to him to say hello and shake his hand. He
was very gracious to everyone, of course. I was too
nervous to approach him, even though for a good
thirty seconds I was walking behind him and was
close enough to "grab his tush", according to my
friend.
As we left the studio, Clay and Pal went into some
SNL or Special People Only area ... so my mild
stalking ended there.
That's my story ... I just felt the need to share
how Clay made my SNL experience even better than
expected (now if Jake Gyllenhaal had shown up to
support his friend, host - the awesome Peter
Sarsgaard, it would have been totally perfect.)

Drive by post...
all
Checking in from the hotel in KC quickly. I walked over to the
venue about 2 hours ago to see how far of a walk it was from the
hotel--it was only a few blocks and as I was walking I ran into
Jerome coming out of the back of the theatre. I chatted with him
on the street for a few minutes-some small talk and I then said
So is
Jacob ok?? His response was "all is good in the hood." He
sorta looked away from me as he said that and I could tell he
was not comfortable so I did not pursue asking any other
questions. I have no idea really what that is suppose to mean
but thought I would post it.
Buses and rigs were there and I also saw Gregory what a cutie he
is with his Mom and Andy and Felix.
Clay was at a hotel resting they said:) |

9/13/05 Possible
new TV appearance?!?! from Clackhouse by way of the ClayBoard
Just posted by
ClayBrat at the Clack House:
Quote:
OK ladies....here's something that you're
getting FIRST (I hope....but knowing the Clack
House, I may be late....LOL). My friend at Strategic
Management just called to ask me to rally everyone
on the Amy Grant "Wishes" thing...but I told her,
"Baby, we're on it already"...she was blown away!
She thinks a few letters to the writer of the story
is in order.
But that's not the
main thing I wanted to tell you....She said to be
sure and make sure everyone knows that Clay and ET
show host , Pat O'Brien, will be HOSTING THE EMMYS
in the Backstage area...to be presented more than
likely the night after on ET. We may get a glimpse
of him Emmy night, too (isn't that this Sunday?).
He'll be interviewing anyone he can trip!!! LMAO!
She said to be sure and tell you all hello, and even
SHE wishes the Clay would hurry the CD! She also
said that Jaymes is wonderful and has been a huge
help.
New clack is always good....even better when you
hear it first!

THROUGH AMAZON THIS WEEK AND CLAY MIGHT DELIVER IT!!! from ClayBoard
I'm not sure if
this has been posted...Just got back from my internship,
it's a news station and part of my job is looking
through the different wires..Well, I stumbled across
this story
I tried to contain my excitement and sneak onto the
boards during the day but I thought that maybe they
tracked what sites we go to....didnt want to get in
trouble, haha..
Can you imagine Clay coming to your door?!?!?!? This
should help out his sales on Amazon.
Quote:
Imagine ordering The First Howie Mandel Special
DVD from Amazon.com and having Howie Mandel himself
deliver it to you at your door! Thats exactly what
happened to Haleh Clapps in Santa Monica,
California. A huge fan of Mandels, Clapps was
stunned to find herself face-to-face with the star
and UPS driver Patty Barnett.
Mandel is just one of many celebrities helping
Amazon.com celebrate its 10th Anniversary by giving
randomly-selected customers a special surprise.
Across the country,
customers are opening their doors to find UPS
and one of their favorite actors, musicians,
athletes or authors making special deliveries of
their work.
The ten days of special deliveries
will start on July 7th and end on July 16,
2005 10 years after founder and CEO Jeff Bezos
opened the doors of Amazon.com from his Seattle
garage.
Other participating celebrities slated to make
special deliveries of their own include: Harrison
Ford, Michael J. Fox, Jeff Bridges, Nick Lachey,
Clay Aiken,
Anna Kournikova, Emmylou Harris, Jason Alexander,
Claudia Schiffer, Don Cheadle, Chris Noth and Bam
Margera.
Each delivery will
be web-casted on Amazon's site.
The celebration will culminate in a 10th anniversary
event on July 16th, featuring performances by Bob
Dylan and Norah Jones, which will be streamed live
on the Amazon.com website.

Info on David Foster - Possible CD Producer for Clay from the
CH by way of That's the Clay
I thought this
was interesting from
HeidiHo at the
CH:
Quote:
Okay, take this with whatever salt you want, but
I heard something interesting (to me, anyway <g>
this evening. ...... at 4 I decided to hit happy
hour near my house. While there I ran into my friend
who is peripheral to the music business in that he
was a DJ and now is getting ready to produce his own
radio program. He's lived in Nashville forever and
he "knows people". <g> Well we were chatting and
after a while, I bring up Clay. He may have brought
him up because he knows I love Clay and it drives
him nuts (so he says) because he has the hots for me
(so he says) - he says he stands no chance against a
young hottie. <g> Anyway, I said something about
Clay touring and how some fans are always bitching.
He says, "Isn't David Foster producing his next CD?"
I had said NOTHING about producers or the like - I'm
not even sure I brought up the CD thing. I said,
"that's the rumor". He just nodded. I said, "Where
did you hear that?" He said he has a friend who is
like a brother to David Foster and that was what he
heard. He said that DF is thinking of moving to
Nashville because he is getting sick of LA @#%$. I
then mentioned that some fans are pissed off at the
DF implication because they don't want Clay to be
Josh Groban or Michael Buble. He got this disgusted
look on his face and said, "DF has produced some of
the biggest people in the business from Hall and
Oats, to Alice Cooper, to Celine Dion, to Bryan
Adams and that Clay would be extremely fortunate to
work with him because he is a hit maker with 7
Grammy's." He went on to bitch that DF should not be
pigeonholed with Josh Groban because the man has
been around forever and is very talented. He also
said that he knows TALENT and that if he is working
with Clay it is because Clay is extremely talented.
He also scoffed (loudly) at the implication that
Clay would come out sounding like Josh Groban - he
said, "Clay will sound like CLAY is DF produces him.
This is a good thing."
Anyway, I thought it was very interesting that David
Foster got brought up without me mentioning a CD or
any such thing.

Clay on the cover of TV Guide - MID JULY
from the
Clackhouse by way of the Clayboard
From HockeyDonna
at CH:
Quote:
I have news. You all know me, and know that I
would only post this if I believed the source was
100% reliable. I am posting at both CH and CV
simultaneously.
Clay is going to be on the cover of TV Guide in
mid-July. I do not know the exact issue. The
interview/article should answer a lot of our
questions.
This should go without saying: Please DO NOT
contact TV Guide to confirm this information.
PLEASE!!
I'm actually not that comfortable posting this... I
found out about it last week, but just got
confirmation that the information could be shared.
Please don't ask me who told me. This is all I know.
I do not know a release date for a CD. I do not have
any other information. But let's hope that as soon
as this TV Guide gets to subscribers (dang, which
doesn't include me!), we'll find out some good
stuff. EEEEEEE!!!

Hosting
SNL? from the

I got this from
Idol Forums, so I don't know how reliable it is, but if
it's true, then it would be great!

Okay, my mom works for NBC in the News
Department. I'm from New York, so she works in the
building at Rockafeller Center (NY people--you know
what I'm talking about, where they have the xmas

SO ANYWAY My mom is like REALLY good friends with
the person who basically gets the musical guests and
hosts and sets up everything. My mom went out to
dinner with her friend and she was telling her the
POSSIBLE lineup for hosts they will be having next
season on Saturday Night Live (which starts in
September) and Clay was on the HOSTING list! Their
gonna try to get him to host! I hope all goes well!!

****,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Since the KABC supports only corporate-liable lines, we are unaware of
most offers for the general public.
It took me a while, but I finally found out some information:
Radio advertisements are taking place 08/28/05 through 03/31/05.
The purchasing of the DVD's will begin the week of 04/04/05.
I do not know the actual purchase date nor will the DVD be available
through me or this department.
It will be available to the general public in the stores.
I hope this information helps.
Have a great day.

Lisa
Marie Presley and Clay from Claymanics.com
Yesterday (3/24) I was at the
taping of Oprah's interview with Lisa Marie Presley and her mother.
First of all it will be a great show. Oprah spent an entire hour talking
with Lisa Marie without stopping to create commercial breaks. During the
conversation they discussed music today and how Lisa fits into the
current music scene.
Lisa Marie indicated her music does not fit the current mold of female
teen singers and hip hop. She stated something to the effect that her
music, like CLAY AIKEN'S is unigue and does not fit today's mold.
I don't know if that comment will make it on air, since there will have
to be some cutting to fit in commercials. But I know all Clay fans will
know he was mentioned.
The show will air the Monday and Tuesday after Easter.

Is this really
necessary?
I posted the
message from Aunt
Frances in the rumor
mill yesterday, I didn’t really know the story behind it but thought it
might be of interest to readers. Later that day a reader emailed me a
copy of the email they received from the un-named person Aunt Frances
referred to.
I wrote back to ask if I could print it and they said that they didn’t
want me to mention their name because they had been getting threats. I
guess they must have tried to give the other side of the story on a
message board and now they are getting threats from other Clay fans.
I am shocked!!!
I can’t believe that people are so involved that they feel it is
necessary to threaten this person. I used to be so proud to be a member
of the Clay Nation. It seemed full of wonderful people who only wanted
to support Clay in his career and his charitable endeavors.
The threats she receive were something like “Faye
hates her and hates you and Clay wants you dead”
and
“Never show
your face at a Clay Aiken concert again”
There
are always at least two sides to a story and if someone tries to give
another side why do some feel that they need to defend Clay in this way.
It is things like this that gives Clay fans a bad name and just
undermines everything we are trying to do for him.
When
the reader told me about the threats I thought maybe I shouldn’t get
involved but this just makes me so mad. They obviously are trying to
silence the other side. But I have always believed in presenting all
sides and letting the reader decide for
themselves.
That is why I am going to post part of the letter she sent me.
I am sure that she [Frances] is
writing about me. But she is quite misguided. I have been a close
family friend all of my life. I have always told nothing but the truth,
especially in my book. I have known Amaryllis, Donna, Joan and Roscoe
...Claytons' family all my life. They helped raise me. I went to many
of Clayton's shows and I saw him as a child and watched him as he was
growing up. I have never staked any claim that I am a close personal
friend of Claytons...as I am old enough to be his mother...but I do tell
some very cute stories that I myself witnessed with him as a child. He
used to call me "Miss ______". But as he got older I only saw him on
brief visits when he may have stopped by Amaryllis' house. My book
stakes no claim to anything but the truth. I have never claimed to be
close to him...but I do claim that today I love him, just as the rest of
the world does. But I have been able to see his life change by being so
close to his family.
Funny that in the post this Francis person claims
that I am not a close friend of his family. What does that mean? I
went to Hawaii with his family...Amaryllis and Donna. I became close
friends with 4 girls from Hawaii because we met at the Raleigh concert
and I introduced them to Clayton's mom and Amaryllis, Joan and Donna.
We then went to dinner the next night and we started talking on the
phone and emailing each other. Our friendship might not have happened
because of Clayton's concert...but our friendship grew because we really
love and care for each other. How dare someone claim that I mis-lead
anyone into being my friend. I happen to be a very kind, loving and
giving person. Is it so hard to love me for who I am instead of being
friends with Clayton's family?
Do you know who this Frances is? It is funny,
because at the Gala in Hawaii I spoke to Frances Skinner Lewis and gave
her my card and told her about my book and she even said to me that I
must have written it with love because she could see it in my eyes when
I talked about it. I really did write that book with love and from the
bottom of my heart. I also wrote it without a dime of income for 14
months. I did sell some DVDs of Clayton singing but not for profit...I
sold it to share a beautiful part of his history and because I had
serious lung damage and my medicines cost over the roof! It saved my
life! Since I now have insurance I have given away more DVD's than I
ever sold. And my daughter's wedding is not in the DVD...that is
personal.
I love my friends in Hawaii and they are a
wonderful part of my life. They all know my story. They all know that
Clayton was never close to me and that his mom has never been overly
nice to me...but none the less...I was there in the McGhee household as
much as he was (actually more)...and I am very close friends with his
family. Even my children were around when he was growing up. My son
who is 31 still today calls him the "little red-headed kid".
This is so sad, because my book is written with so
much love and joy. It is so positive and puts Clayton on the highest of
ground. I wrote it with so much respect for him and what he has
accomplished. I have a special section in it that is devoted only to
letters, stories, poems, and songs that his fans wrote to him, and about
him.
Funny...perfect strangers can write a book and
Clayton nor his mom says a word...but I who have been like a family
member to the McGhee's all of my life write a beautiful, heartfelt book
about my memories and my two years of meeting the most wonderful people
on the face of the earth because of Clayton's fans and their "Claying it
Forward"...and I am made out to be a liar and someone who is only trying
to make money off of him. I am so not about that. Not one word in my
book is a lie...and I did not write the book to make money off of
him...I wrote it to tell the world a beautiful story about how through
Clayton and his fans the world has changed. I sat day after day reading
the most endearing stories from his fans and through many months of
teary eyes, I put aside a book I had been writing for 2 years...so I
could share with the world my experiences of becoming one of Clayton's
true fans. The fact that I know and am close friends with his McGhee
family only gave me a different insight, because I did hold Clayton when
he was a few weeks old. And I did see him at the family cookouts and I
do have stories to share...and I have the most wonderful new network of
loving friends because of him. So if people want to make up lies and
tell bad things about me...then I guess it would be hard for me to stop
it. But they are the ones who are less of a good person...not me.
Yes...I do expect to get paid for writing this
book. That is how I make a living. I have offered a percentage to the
BAF...but they have not responded, not even to my attorney. So if they
don't want any money then I shall give it to Domestic Violence.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. And
yes, it hurts greatly! I feel so sick.........
And now you know another side of
the story. I don't say that either side is right but please keep an open
mind. I agree with some parts of Frances' message. You shouldn't trust
everyone. If you want to pay for someone's meal or trip or whatever do
it because you want to do it for that person not because you are trying
to buy your way into Clay's life. As far as making money off of
Clay...If you buy a picture that an artist drew of Clay is the artist
making money off of Clay or is that artist making money off of their own
talent? The same goes for an author of a book, are they making money off
Clay or their own talent for writing? It is a fine line but are
magazines using Clay by putting him on the cover to sell
magazines....well actually I think they may be taking advantage of our
weakness for anything Clay but that is another story.
If by printing this it disturbs you and you feel the need to send
threats to me...just be forwarned that I will publish any threats sent
to me.

3/8/05 Aunt Frances Message from the
Clackhouse by way of the
Clayboard
This post at CH is very interesting; maybe you will think it is also.
Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those of you who are interested...
I am passing along a message from a friend of mine...because it involves
people that I care about...I am going to post her message in it's
entirety. Whether you know Frances (Aunt Frances) or not, the message is
completely true...it is being posted on numerous boards...I am posting
it here.
From: Frances Wilson
I don't post very often at the group sites but many of you know that
information I give you is reliable. Throughout the last couple of years
I've met some very wonderful people who have become very good friends to
me and for that I am truly thankful. I'm sure the same is true for many
of you as well. I do want to caution you about some who claim to be fans
and you may be aware of one or two yourself. Some will claim to be
friends/family of Faye or Clay, telling stories from Clay's childhood
that may or may not be true. Some of these people have known people who
has known Clay for many years, but they themselves did not know him, but
claim to have known him since he was a child. One person from the
Raleigh area fits this mold very well and is planning to write a book.
The book this person is writing has not been endorsed by Clay or anyone
from his family. Family and true friends will not use Clay for personal
gain. I must say that Clay did sing at the wedding of the daughter of
the person I am referring to. Clay did not know the family prior to the
wedding. Weddings are personal to me, but this person used her
daughter's wedding video for personal gain by selling them on Ebay. So
now she wants to write an unauthorized book about Clay and/or his fans.
Many of you may have met this person. I know that she attended the BAF
Gala in Hawaii at the expense of some of the fans because they thought
she was a close family friend. How sad that those ladies were used, once
again for personal gain. Please be careful of predators claiming to be
one thing, but in reality is another. I don't want to see any of Clay's
true fans be taken for a ride.
Blessings to you all.
Frances

3/2/05 From
the Clackhouse Kelly on the radio "Clay "adores" AI and
watches it all the time...
Small Clay mention.
I was driving home and listening to Star94 and who happens to call in
but Kelly. She will be headlining their spring concert this year and
called in to discuss that.
Anyway at some point during the interview they ask her if she has time
to keep up with AI. Kelly said no, that she was touring last year and
now she is out of the country so she has no time, but that Clay, who she
is "really good friends with" "adores" AI and watches it all the
time...That he enjoys the whole "process of the show" a lot, and has the
habit of calling them up and keeping them up to date on what is going
on.

Clay to appear on Scrubs from Bolt by way of Clayboard
Topic: I saw Clay tonight
Jan 22 2005 1:19AM
Clay sang to me tonight in Glendale. He's a dream.
ANyway, I saw Clay at the taping of Scrubs tonight. He was amazing. It
was a wonderful show and the cast was fantastic. Just the best time
ever!
So what did he sing???
Isn't She Lovely.
He was actually a character on the show too.
Yes, this Scrubs episode will air around the third Tuesday in February.
Clay plays Kenny, a cafeteria worker.
He was wonderful and so was the show.
Yes, Clay has lines and there's a talent show on the show. Of course,
Clay wins!
Yes, we taped it in Glendale, California.
It was a wonderful night.
Before I go, I thought I'd tell you one funny thing that Clay said after
the show. He announced on camera (with Access Hollywood there) and to
everyone on the set, "Scrubs is a great show! Watch this on Tuesday
nights instead of American Idol."
I can't believe he said it, but he meant it.
I'm sure you'll see all of this on TV at some point.
For One Week Only, It's 'Scrubs,' the Sitcom
-------------------------------------------------------------------
More info from the poster on Bolt last night. She just posted
more on Bolt this morning.
Topic: More Scrubs Info
Jan 22 2005 11:17AM
Good morning.
To answer a few questions:
1.) Clay isn't singing to any girl, he's singing that song in a talent
show.
2.) Clay plays a nerdy cafeteria worker, Kenny, who is getting fired.
3.) Clay sings that particular song because it's Turk's and Carla's
wedding song.
4.) He has lines and everything.
5.) You could hear the Scrubs creator talking to Clay (Bill Lawrence) is
a huge Clay AIken fan. He even told us that AI2 was the only reality
show he watched and even called in for. So, that's great that Clay loves
Scrubs and Scrubs loves Clay.
6.) He sang for the audience between breaks. He was wonderful and
everyone was screaming for him. These are SCRUBS fans--not Clay fans. It
was so cool!
7.) My sister won tickets to see the show. That's how I got to be there.
ANy other questions? I'll try to check back tonight or tomorow morning?

Dr. Phil postponed from the ClayBoard
I don't have any other details, other than Clay's January 11th
appearance on the Dr. Phil Show has been postponed. I wish I had more
details, but I don't. I don't know the postponement date, either. All I
know is what I've written above.
I know I don't post here much, but I think ClayNation and Sharmardo can
vouch that this news is valid, and that I'm a credible source. I know
there will be nay-sayers. And that is fine....but know I JUST learned it
and wanted to share, and had permission to do so.
If I find out about the date, I'll let you know!
