She was talking with someone on the crew and they said that 19 didn't want Clay to tour during the summer when the Idol tour was going on. Basically his tour with Kelly is all they wanted for him.......so he left for the Firm. Also the band members chose to stay with him rather than returning to the Idol show. I don't know if it is all true but it certainly makes sense as to why Clay would leave 19. Also since Kelly won she is stuck with 19 for 5 years. Who knew that 2nd place could be so good!
7/16/04 Set Your Vcrs Or Tivo, Sunday, Bravo Channel, 9pm ET I just heard from someone in Neil Sedaka's office at Sedaka Music. Apparently, Neil is receiving a "Songwriters Hall of Fame Award" in a ceremony airing on the Bravo Channel this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, and a "special guest" taped a very brief tribute to Neil on his receiving an award at the ceremony. Hmmmm...wonder who THAT is??? One of the ladies at the concert just got LIVE word that Clay will be shooting his new video for "I Will Carry You" right after the show tonight. They said expect it to be a concert montage! 6/17/04 Message from Eva at the The Clackhouse: HOME BROADWAY DVD Here is the situation Clay fans: Although a DVD of the Home Broadway performance was produced, it is no longer being made available for public sale. We have a contact that is willing to share the CYFTLT video with us. As with all other media, we will be making it available to all other media providers/clack dealers in the Clay Nation. The following have access to our vault: gonzofan Jassie of clay-media KCClayFan carpet at airplay central agw of RHT However, my contact is telling me they will share the video on 1 condition. It is pretty simple – DO NOT INUNDATE THE CHILDREN & FAMILIES INITIATIVE OF BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS WITH PHONE CALLS ABOUT THE DVD! IT IS OUT OF THEIR CONTROL AND NO AMOUNT OF PHONE CALLS WILL CHANGE THE SITUATION. THEY ARE ALSO A VERY SMALL ORGANIZATION OF VOLUNTEERS AND THEY CAN NOT SUPPORT THE LEVEL OF CALLS GENERATED BY THIS TYPE OF FAN GROUP. I will be discussing this with the other media providers/clack dealers in the Clay Nation. For now, if someone would be kind enough to pass along this message to the other boards, I would appreciate it. 6/6/2004 Misc Clay info...Christmas CD, book, vacation Quote from the ClayBoard: Before the concert, Fran Skinner stopped where I was standing in line and talked with some of us. Some news. He has finished his Christmas CD. she would not say what songs were on it, but we strongly think OHN is on it because of the look in her eyes and expression of joy on her face when we asked her. I hope TFN and DSIAFCD is on it too love both of those and TLDBPOE duet with Bing and many other classics. I bet it is going to be one of the best xmas CD's we will ever have heard. It will go alongside my Bing Crosby CD as the best of all time. Also his kids book is coming out end of June and they are offering a bonus track with an extra story read by Clay. Also now after this benefit concert and his performance at the race today he will be going on vacation.
