5/26/2004 REGARDING DIANA
DEGARMOS LAST PERFORMANCE!! (received in email original source unknown) My friend Janet was at the rehearsal for the finale today (she's a Fantasia fan keep in mind) but she told me that something happened that no one knows about but the people that were in the rehearsal .. she told me so I HAVE to share because I can't BELIEVE this .. it's regarding Diana DeGarmo. Janet told me that during rehearsal Diana's last song "Don't Cry Out Loud" was PERFECT and she nailed it. Everyone was in awe. But the minute she stepped on that stage after her first 2 songs to perform it LIVE they changed up the song modulation on her and it went flat and Diana started freaking out. They also made the song longer .. they didn't TELL her and they changed it up on NATIONAL TELEVISION .. LIVE! They also planned during certain parts in the song where Diana fell flat because of this to turn up the volume so it was made noticeable. Janet told me after she performed, Diana's mom told her this and John Steven's mom and Carmen Rasmussen's mom commented on this as well (since they all were also at the rehearsal). I'm sorry, but the show had NO RIGHT to do that to her regardless of the fact they want Fantasia to win. To pull that on someone is unacceptable. Please feel free to copy this message Diana fans and post it ON ANY MESSAGE BOARD YOU WANT. I got permission from my friend and she said this needs to be leaked out in the media and other fans. As a Fantasia fan she said her friends and herself found this to be "incredibly wrong" of the show to do. What the producers will do to get their way .. it sickens me. Let America decide who they want. Don't pull stupid crap to try to sway the voting. And another side note, I found the judges comments to be incredibly inappropriate after her last song .. HER LAST SONG IN THE TOP 2 OF AMERICAN IDOL .. HER ***LAST**** PERFORMANCE AND THEY CAN'T FIND ONE GOOD THING TO SAY?!?! Terrible. |

5/17/2004 Clive Davis' cousin's info on Clay From the ClayBoard, From RHT, Got this at the Clackhouse from a very reliable poster there. Posted: Sun May 16, 2004 7:01 pm GMT Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So yesterday during the course of my job I meet a woman in the music biz, we talk. American Idol comes up. And, she said, she's attending next week's AI3 show since her cousin is a judge. I ask who her cousin is. She said, Clive Davis, who is more like a brother to her. And, that in fact, she attended the Las Vegas concert with Clive to see Clay and Kelly. I squealed, told her I loved Clay. She, too, said she thought he was wonderful. And that Clive loves him. I asked her if Clive was aware that it was Clay who was the star of the Independent Tour and drawing in the fans. She said he was, and that while Kelly was sweet with a great voice, that it was clear that Clay was the draw and that he would make it longterm in the biz. She said she thought the response toward him in Las Vegas was amazing, like a ""revival.'' I asked about Clay's next CD, and that I hoped there would be more up-tempo songs on his next album, and she said that she was sure there would be, and that MOAM had mostly ballads because that is what they thought his fans wanted. We talked about other Clay and Kelly stuff (off the record). I also went on a bit about how Clay was in such a different league than anyone EVER to come out of American Idol, and I told her that I thought this season had jumped the shark. She asked me who I was rooting for, I told her no one. Unfortunately, she's a Simon C. fan, and thinks he's brilliant. Ugh. I told her in no uncertain terms what I thought of him, she claims his barbs were all for show and that he was actually crushed when Clay lost. Still think she just likes Simon so much (god knows why) that she was just sort of sticking up for him. In fact, she claims almost all the AI producers were crushed when the votes came in at 2 a.m. that Wednesday and declared Ruben the winner. But she said everyone knew that Clay was going to be a big star anyway. Anyway, just thought I'd share. |

5/14/04 posted by GBB at the Clack House on 5/13 Well, things just got interesting. The following comes from a solid source: 19M is history, or will be as of next week. The change has been in the works just recently (not sure how long and cannot confirm new management.) They had him for just one year. 19 exercised their option for another appearance, necessitating the cancellation of LKL. Was the lack of promotion for that final appearance an oversight? <snerk> Draw your own conclusions. The trades will have this next week, because Clay is obviously a very big name and is the first to break away from 19 by his own choice. How fitting that the last words Clay sang on the show were It's your day, shining day, all your dreams come true As you glide, in your stride with the wind, as you fly away give a smile, from your lips, and say I am free, yes I'm free, now I'm on my way |

5/12/04 Christmas special, Clay writing a book,
Offspring-of-MOAM planned for May/June 2005 and more... Goood Baby Brush from the Clack House Posted: Wed May 12, 2004 1:20 pm Post subject: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We've been gathering some information on Clay's upcoming schedule from a few sources and just waiting for clearance to post a few things. We've got quite an embarassment of riches coming up. Hang on to your hats. Here's what we know: As of a few weeks ago, there are reportedly 52 dates for the NOT A TOUR. That should mean a few more dates opening up. He's planning to hit Asia in the fall (this we already knew). There will be a network Christmas special. And don't assume it will be FOX. That appears to still be in negotiation. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (Nova was right!) Right now Offspring-of-MOAM looks to be planned for May/June 2005. There will likely be some touring to support Offspring-of-MOAM summer of next year. And if that's not enough... Clay is writing a book! It's NOT an AI tell-all. It's a personal book, but not a memoir. Look for it most likely in spring 2005. More information will be forthcoming from official sources. Clay's not going away ANY time soon. PS - I know most of you don't need to hear this, but please don't start calling everyone under the sun trying to dig out more info on any of the above. Some of the things are still in the planning stages and the last thing we want is for all our sources to dry up. eta - If you copy this to another board, PLEASE include the PS |
